An ISO certificate is an official recognition that an organization follows international standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It demonstrates compliance with globally recognized practices for quality, safety, efficiency, and consistency.

Typically, an ISO certificate is valid for 3 years, subject to annual surveillance audits by the certification body.
ISO itself does not issue certificates. Certification is provided by independent accredited certification bodies (e.g., SGS, TUV, BSI, DNV).
